Ari Shi is an artist who works with binders from local trees he harvests (such as peach, plum, jacaranda, braquiquito, conifer, anacahuita, etc.), with which he creates his own paints (watercolors, oils, and acrylics). He also uses fluorescent pigments and works with different ultraviolet lights to create multiple layers of images (some only visible under black light). In his works, he attempts to explore the corporeality and mentality of affections, interpersonal relationships, and worlds related to mental health.
